Yum, Yum Ramen
So about a week ago I went to eat my first bowl of ramen with my new friend Jasmine. Now this wasn’t just any type of ramen this was Japan ramen which means a little bit more to me than just eating a cup of noodles.
We went to eat at this quaint little shop called Bantam King, it is an pop art decorated storefront that serves Japanese style chicken or vegetable based ramen. Or Japanese style fried chicken. Personally I am a huge fan of Japanese and Eastern Asian Culture, almost the same way they like western culture. I am a serious anime, and manga fan. My favorite anime is Naruto, and favorite manga as of now is Fruits Basket; but there is no one who can take the number one spot away from Naruto in my eyes.
The thing that made this day out so great was that, I have been looking forward to eating authentic Japanese ramen for a very long time. I tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, that had a chicken broth base. It may have been spicy, it didn’t have the kick that I was looking for. I honestly thought that it would be a lot spicier but it was still delicious. The broth Was so thick but flavorful, and the noodles where so light weight and easy so eat. The seaweed that was in the bowl was soaked in the broth which made it even more delicious than the original taste. From the broth to the noodles to everything in-between was just a great experience.
When I tell you that the food was so good that I didn’t even realize I ate the entire bowl, while my friend Jasmine was still trying to finish her bowl. I was so excited that Jasmine had invited me out after work. I had a great experience and i am definitely going back to Bantam King.
